Is Agent Gibbs a Neander?

They didn't spend too much time in his shop, but what was there did show good, safe working practices. There were several nice pieces in the background, but his shop was way too clean.

curtains - slightly off-topic

Ask around or look in local paper, shop window advert cards etc for curtain making people. They cost much less than you might think. Then find your ideal material in - er - a material shop. You'll get exactly what you want, at little or no extra cost (IMHE) - and they'll fit ...

Delta 22-59 vs. Dewalt DW735 planers ... which is better?

A shop vac does not have enough CFM to get all of the chips - I had the same problem - it went away when hooked up to a good dust collector system. The shop vac has high velocity but low cfm versus the low velocity high CFM of the cust collector. BB

DIY mum left with horrific burns

It had the most tiddly-tiny piezo squeaker on it - you couldn't hear it in a busy shop. So she asked me to beef it up a bit. Those "aROOOOGAaaa" klaxons dunnarf make teenage shop-assistants pay attention.

Painting Sheet Rock.

If you just shop by brand you'll never get it right. You shop by paint type, not brand, Benjamin Moore sells high quality paint and they sell cheap paint. Same for Sherwin Williams, and all the big companies.

Cable TV Amplifier

My cable runs from the pole, then about 100 feet to the house, then splits, then another 100 feet to the shop. I have a great signal in the shop. Greg

Also apparently although on the woodsmith store turns out it's a shop notes issue, which I can't get to an index either. Not from woodsmith/shop notes. Only from other sites that aren't exactly in my trust ...
