Last summer their shop in Ayr opened the vacant shop next door and sold loads of stuff at give away prices....bought a lot myself.....and all car boot sales were swamped with the stuff .......

Cyclone dust collector kit now available

In my shop in the summer there is. Drywall on the bottom of the joists and 1/2" plywood on the top does a fair job of insulating. On a typical July day the shop is hot and muggy, but attic is like an oven. -- Mark

dust and my furnace

when I was a kid my grandfather use to have a shop in our basement (10 feet from the furnace) and worked at least 4 or 5 days a week in the shop. There was no dust collection system. That furnace was finally replaced 25 years later

What about the dial gauge HF is offering for TS alignment?

How would this be for a home shop? I don't want to spend 40 or 50 bucks for a home shop. If I were a pro I'd spend more. Thanks

Re: SEMI-OT - Another reason not to clean the shop

and than there was the night my shop cat got shut in the shop overnight. She didn't suffer for lack of a litter box, but now I think I better get the big pile of sawdust underneath my contractors saw picked up pretty soon. -Dan V.

Diefenbach Bench

I use it almost very time I go into the shop. I also learned quite a bit doing it. It is the center of my shop.

Clear View Cyclones - Dust Collection

I will be using 2 ea., 300sqft, 0.5 micron cartridges for filtering and will return the air to the shop. I cannot afford to exhaust to the outside here in Chicago and do not want my furnace and hotwater heater exhaust being sucked into the wood shop.

Workshop with the furnace in it?

I place the "furnace in the shop" up there with the "ungrounded PVC duct collection explosions"! I have a 80% furnace in my shop and I am still alive! One day I may really risk it all and put up some PVC dust collector duct! Greg

Black Metal Bar footrail

The robot I just finished helping build is 28"x38"x5' tall, welded aluminum, and the powdercoat shop offered to just put the whole thing in the oven, with room to spare. Supposedly the shop can do entire driveway entrance gates 6-8' on a side.
