You can get a shop vacuum that takes an aftermarket Cleanstream air filter. That will remove even the extra fine dust (stuff you can't even see but is brutal on your lungs). Plus you can find for considerable dollars high end shop vacs that are much quieter than the normal ones.

McDonalds' lawsuit...and tool safety.

What I did years ago was wire my shop so that all circuits into which any tool can be plugged pass through a single shut-off switch ahead of the shop sub-panel so that I can shot off and lock everything down when there are kids (and sometimes fully grown idiots) in my shop.

Winter's on it's way- any tips for heating a garage-type shop?

Safety issues of wearing gloves when using power tools?

I didn't take shop in school, so I don't know what they taught...but I assume they still cover this. I did make a bent-shaft paddle in the school shop over noon hours after showing the shop teacher that I knew what I was doing around the tools.

MFI discount?

Do you mean a cash or cheque payment vs. using a credit card. For this you could ask for 3-6% discount since that would be the card company's take from the transaction. Bear in mind that if you buy on a credit card, you have the protection of the Consumer Credit Act.
