OT rant - rubble sacks

My local tip is free for domestic quantities of rubble. The tip is privately run, on behalf of the council, and many previous rules in past years have been relaxed. There is a web cam showing the queues so that you can check before setting off and they have "recycle" shop.

Basic floorplan software needed

The basic version of roomsketcher is free http://www.roomsketcher.com/homedesigner/ If you don't mind paying a bit, Metropix which is used by estate agents is £8 for one plan, extra £4 for 3D and £3.20 for a map, all pl us VAT.

Battery boost

It started and I drove to the shop. Battery replacement was free (battery was less than 2 years old). BTW, when I shifted the car info gear (after AAA started it), it almost died. The lights got really dim.

Building Insulated Windows

Welll, we live in one of the (for now) free parts of the world (rural Missouri) that still lets you build what you want as long as it doesn't mutilate random passersby.

Build a shop question

I am interested in building a woodworking shop and naturally I would like to get the most for my investment. I have space and am thinking of a free standing building. Are there any websites that address low cost owner built buildings that might be of help?

Cruved surface scrapers

You should be able to get all the material you need for free at a glass shop, hardware store, or lumber yard that cuts glass. You might wear gloves, though I have never found it to be a problem not to. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Keep the whole world singing . . . .

Tried a DC to empty a shop vac bin?

My shop vac works great in my current router table, which is an open stand. The next router table will have an enclosure for the router, and I want to add a DC hookup to the bottom of the enclosure to also pick up dust/chips that come through the bit opening.

Making a router plate to mate Triton router to Wolfcraft Router table

Cheap route is to go visit local glass/plastics shop and they'll almost always have cutoffs or broken pieces on the cheap that can be cut to suit. Another great material for such stuff is the sink cutouts of the manmade countertop material such a Corian, etc.
