Footprint of mortiser

What is the approx. footprint of a benchtop mortiser when mounted to a free-standing base? I recently saw a web site where someone on here has just such a beast and his measurements would be close enough. I'm trying to lay out my work shop semi-sanely.

OT: Mobile phone repair

How many people really use their TS wide rip fence?

I also have a small shop - and a 30" Unifence. I use up to 24" rather frequently. Anything larger and I pop off the fence and use a panel-cutting sled.

Junked car left on my property by former tenants

One guy DOUBLE PARKED a Honda, with the keys in it, in front of a Queens barber shop hoping someone would steal it. The guys at the barber shop watched the car for a WEEK and nobody swiped it. Oh, many looked it over; one even took it for a test drive!

Fish and Chips - How come?

been to the deliveroo website and locally F&C is not an available search option but if I go to the local shop then it says "deliveroo orders" click here. Go Figure!

How hard is it to replace a clutch in a 5-speed manual transmission?

I actually have both the so-called factory shop manuals somewhere in my crowded garage. I bought them for about $100 when the car was new two decades ago, like I always did for all my vehicles. I also have the Hanes somewhere (probably in the same spot).

Panel Saw seen beating crap out of Table Saw

I have a full shop including 10" CS,6" Jointer, 12" portable planer 12" RAS & 12" CMS RA drill press both 12" & 14" Band saw, Mortiser, Spindle sande & 9"/48" combo sander & a 50 gal air compressor, welder & 3'x5' workbench/out-feed table & a 2 HP DC. All in a 13'5" x 24'5" shop. Ya ...

Otherwise a credit or debit card will allow you to pay in cheques, pay for goods in a shop, withdraw cash and all the other stuff you cant actually do from home.

Why aren't backpack vacuums more popular in the home?

I kept the 50 foot card. I use it for my parlor level, the four flights of stairs, and the hall on the bottom floor, where the rental is. I have a shop vac for my top floor, and a Miele cannister for my middle floor. Those stay on their floor.

Jointer Dust Collection

============================================ Honestkly the Jointer is the ONLY tool in my shop that I do not even bother hooking up a Dust Collector to... I just place a card board box under the thing and empty the box when it gets full...
