recycling tv's etc.

AMAZED at what I find on the curbs when I visit family in NYC! Always want to take stuff home to CA, but not much room in the overhead bins for filing cabinets, etc. because most apartments are small And you probably READ them! More power to you.

Non-fused and non-earthed

A friend of mine was teling me about his flat recently. he had a new kitchen installed and had some sockets moved. The fitter removed all the fuses from the fuse box (the old slot in kind with fuse wire) but apparently the kitchen circuit was still live. Switching the main plug did work though. ...

pipe cleaner

I bought a similar product at Home D last year and use it in the basement utility sink where the washing machine dumps into, I use for cleaning paint brushes, etc. So far, no clogs but can't say whether the good news is the result of this product.

Epson Inkjet - apparently un-diy-able to fix ?

Everytime it cleans its heads, it dumps ink into a sponge hidden in the bottom of the case, it keeps a counter of how much of your precious ink it has wasted in this way, when it calculates the sponge can hold no more it throws a hissy fit ... better than leaking gunge all over your desk.

Mower lost air filter won't start.

I've also repaired enough small engines from dumps to assume that everything needs to be checked before starting. http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/sam/lmfaq.htm

kenmore ice maker stopped making ice

This is an ice maker that dumps in a removable bin that is on the door. on the maker itself is a large black piece on the left, and on the front is a white plastic piece with "fins".

Musty smell around washing machine

Or your sink or whatever your water dumps into may have mold. Leave lid always open so machine drys out. Somewhere maybe even on walls or floor mold is growing use bleach to kill it when you find it.
