If the feeds to your pyro installation are in TW&E, use a BESA box as the JB, and connect the TW&E earth to that - there's a threaded hole provided for an earth screw.

Drywall sizes

I do this sort of thing professionally, and my time is worth much more than the seven dollars I'd save by taking the time to root through scrap bins or run down construction sites that may or may not yield the correct piece.

Pest control came and dealt with wasp nest in garden, what about stragglers?

Possibly a chance observation, or possibly wasps do visit flowers to get the pollen. What they don't do is visit flowers for their nectar: that is what bees do.
