OT - Man angry at Verizon hurls phones

Very few cell sites have truly diverse feeds, as we do with stuff like 911 feeds, back to the phone network. The ones that do are usually huge, multi-company urban sites fed by major fibers. Losing a pole, or a dug up cable or fiber usually means no site with typical cells.

New Fine Woodworking magazin almost made me ill

Note: I've had the 'dubious honor' of working at sites that have had dumps of _both_ kinds of systems. There is *no* warning/delay with the 'breathable' system -- when somebody hits the panic button the dump valves open *right*now*. Either variety is fairly _expensive_ to use.

Snow blower power ratings

Now that I want a new blower, I don't want to buy a machine that has less power than the old one but the published specs are just plainly designed to confuse the buyer and there are very few web sites that do much to untangle the mess of misleading information.

Cleaning up after painting

Visit Wilkinsons. Perfectly good roller/tray/sleeve £2. Not worth the effort to wash then, chuck in bin. Visit Toolstation. 24 one use brushes £9:98.

Bins nearby? Then open a window and close the door to the room. They'll leave of their own accord, attracted by the light.

How should I dispose of a fluorescent tube?

In spite of much protest, they phased out the bins and started using clear bags. I moaned a lot at the time, to no avail.

shredded tree leaves

Also, wooden pallets make nice leaf mold bins. You'll have some great humus and and organic matter come next April. Can't beat leaf mold. JK WARRENRN1 wrote:
