Well it kept me busy over christmas...

Oh, I did do *some* woodwork - I pruned the apple trees. And I now know how non-techies must feel when we talk about computer stuff since a significant proportion of the description is incomprehensible to me. :o)

They are more impressed by Apple introduding a new colour for the iPad. They have little concept of the struggle to make things work.

OT? Electric shavers

Have you seen the price of the new over the ear Apple ones? over 500 quid. I think as with most things, if somebody wants to spend that money its up to them. Shavers seem to be just one of many items with wildly varying prices. Brian

Roman Chamomile

I head it makes a nice addition while giving off a scent of apples (like a sour apple Jolly Rancher) when cut. Also if anyone has heard of it, where can I get seeds for it? I have search and found nothing yet.

planting walnuts

Anyway, I remember the walnut seedlings that seemed to spring up from nowhere in my grandparents' apple orchards every year. Seemed like there were hundreds of them, and the nearest walnut trees were in a neighbor's stand of trees more than a mile away.

organic, non-organic and taste...

For example, a ripe apple off the tree most often tastes better to me than the same variety cool stored for weeks on end. rob

How often and how much to water newly planted trees and bushes

We recently planted the following - Apricot tree 5 feet tall - Apple tree 5 feet tall, 5 sorts of apples - Two Cherry trees 5 feet tall.
