The outside temp in the shade is 101. The deck back planks register between 137 and 146 with an IR thermometer. We are going out for dinner, To hell with it.

Sawstop--the wrong marketing approach?

If there are 30,000 table-saw related injuries that require a hospital visit every year (and presumably most of those would have triggered the sawstop if it was present) how many more were there that did not require a hospital visit but would have triggered the sawstop?

Oh heck! Rat Trap gone missing

My bins are emptied weekly - but on a fortnightly rota of general waste and recycling stuff. It doesn't give me a problem as we manage it properly.

Non-detergent at least 30 Wt. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there were not a few BABBITT sites out there. FWW may have an article or two on Babbit Bearings either in a back issue or one of the books on restoring/rebuilding woodworking machinery.

Yep the price comparison sites were awful and I've bemoaned on here more than once that all I want is a unit rate + day rate for the region I'm in. I think it works at 10.8p/unit + 15.76p/day if I take advantage of all their special offers, and about ?

Chainsaw chain shortening 101 needed

I need some chainsaw chain 101 for shortening my chainsaw chains. I have 4 Stihl chains that need shortening and would like to buy some tools and do it by myself. I was thinking of picking up the vise grip type chain breaker mender tool to do it. What else do I need?
