Actually, even OS/MVS (non-XA), including SPF, _will_ fit on a desktop. If you've got a "P-370" card, it runs _native_ on the co-processor board.

Some times it starts with small leak or some times it just dumps water out(flood). My heater is in the basement near a drain. For me, if it lasted 10 years it's time to go.
Thinking that in future time humans will be mining existing garbage dumps and 'recovering' the minerals? Right now enough wood goes to our local dump to heat not only city hall but many homes at same time. We are very much a throw-away society!
try the dumps and look for one someone threw out... take it home and see if it still works.. bypass the thermostat and if it works then you just put a new thermostat in it for about $40 and you save the other $60..
The (empty) one now at the top is filled by a river, the one at the bottom dumps the water into the oggin.
