I had an insurance inspector visit at work last week. He said he will find the same things in every shop. The bench grinder is not adjust properly (ours wasn't) and if there is a table saw, the guard will be off. (we don't have one). Ed

All significant walnut machining gets done outside so the dust stays outside the shop as much as possible. I wear a mask and eye protection anyway. If working small pieces inside the shop always I wear the same protection in addition to connecting the vacuum to the tools.

I upgraded my Grizzly G1022 contractor saw fence to a Shop Fox Original fence. The "orphan" fence taking up space in my single-car garage shop is probably much better than what you have. (It has a micro-adjust feature -- very nice!)
My basement shop gets HUGE use, but has about as much floorspace as a large-ish Galley kitchen. ALL my floor tools roll. ESPECIALLY my TS/Router Table. (home-built rolling 2 door cabinet with Bench saw and Router table mounted on top. Dust collection needs tweaking, but...)
