We are building a sidewalk with pavers and need to incorporate a step into the path. How do we do that?
Don't, that's how. Make the walkway a slightly inclined ramp EVERYONE will thank you. You clearly have plenty of span and 1-step equates to very little incline. I really don't know where this idea of putting a step or even 2 in the run, especially at the start of the walkway came from.
Personally, it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. People somehow think 1 or 2-inches every 4-feet is some sort of hazard and a ski slope...insanity or stupidity or both. I've been on a lot worse in huge parking lots. Sorry, I've replaced a few and no-one could believe there was ever a step(s) there before. Mammoth improvement and even unnoticeable, finally a pleasure to use.
