There is no requirement for smoke detectors to be on a GFCI protected circuit. If the detector is in a bedroom, new installations would require an AFCI circuit breaker. Since 2002, most jurisdictions have enforced the electric code requirement for all new 'stuff' (branch circuits) in bedrooms must be protected by AFCI's.
