Vinyl mini blinds for door

Door pic. Steel, 15 panel. Currently use neodymium magnets so I am not worried about mounting. Mounting is dyi, buying is do it with help.

Aren't there places that make custom blinds? "Next Day" maybe. I forget another one that advertises here.

From what I find they are all aluminum. White vinyl is a dime a dozen.

Have you called them on the phone? The web is good for cheap. Local stores are more expensive usually but they are good for having what you want, or finding it. Though I do see a lot of what they offer is coming to your house to measure and then install. Of course that doesnt' help but I would call on the phone either the biggest local blind company, or the biggest online company that you know has some black blinds. I suppose many just import, but some must actually do some cutting.

Also have 24x72 and 27x72. Can 27 be sawed to 25?

There are solutions if it has to be 25" wide, but 64" length is not long enough to cover the window. He can buy sheets of black craft paper from a dollar-store to tape up the bottom of the window, or buy two blinds and cannibalize one blind to use the slats to add to the other blind.

I have no confidence in adding slats. That means adding the string. I want nice not rigged.

There is no string shortage. They sell the original style string either online or at a store that makes custom blinds. Or maybe a different style would look even cooler. Apparently your window is not standard sized. Change your window so you will never have trouble finding blinds again.

I cut a couple inches off one end of vinyl blinds so they'd fit in the window opening. I've still got the 2" stubs around which have been useful as shims.

I'll admit that adding slats could be a problem if they use a tape with cross pieces for the slats to rest on. You have to talk to someeone at a custom place to see what they say. Even if you do not hire them, and you probably won't, they shouldn't mind giving you 5 minutes. Calling after 4 or 4:30PM works well. I thought about that. Really, he should make the door wider, and to keep the symmetry of the house as seen from the outside, he should make the whole house wider. And longer too, to keep proportions the same.

So what are they like inside?. I have a feeling they are like chocolate covered cake cookies, hard on the outside and mushy on the inside.

Doesn't this mean they are asymmetric?. That might bother some people and not bother others.
