I unplugged the oven/stove unit and now the display won’t light up. I read the manual and it says to hold the clock button 5 seconds to reset but nothing happened. Do I have to leave it unplugged or unplugged a certain time? MGR5875QDW Maytag oven/stove

Why did you unplug it? Was it acting stupid?
The holding button thing is to set it. It should light up when powered up. Try turning it off again, leave it off for a couple mins, then turn it back on. Does everything else work? If so and the display won't light up, it's likely kaput. The other possibility might be that the neutral connection at the plug isn't contacting, but then I would think that all the electronics not working, not just the display, would be the symptom.
