I am remodeling a bathroom. One potential contractor mentioned a
requirement that the center line of the toilet be spaced 18" from the
neighboring vanity (on one side) and from the shower stall (on the
other). That's a lot of free space. Does anyone know if this is true?
How about a link to the UBC?
search google.com for your local city and state codes.
while you are looking at the bathroom toilet dimensions, think about
grab bars and spacings for handicap wheelchair use including doorway, a
roll-in shower, and a roll under wall hung sink.
this is time well spent for future use by all ages and disabilities.
