stink bug odor neutralization on nose!

Walking out the door, I was greeted by the often fall present sting bug today here in the Northeast USA. When I swatted it away, it emitted its odor and a portion of the aerosol hit around my nose. Now smelling the odor with each inhale. Any way to neutralize it?

Wash?

It went away on its own after an hour. I know from experience that soap and water washing never works well if the bug aerosol gets on the hands. Never had time to experiment with anything else.

Try diluted white vinegar or rubbing alcohol?

I never had one spray but got odor on crushing them or removing them. Odor would just fade in time.

In fall I would be out hunting and had them crawl down collar of my shirt and it stunk to remove. Wife served dinner one night and I thought a small piece of meat broke off and tossed it in my mouth and it was a stink bug. Do not recall lingering taste or smell.

As weather cools they seek out warmth in tight spaces coming in the house. Good time to check seals around windows.

We had big invasions of stink bugs years ago but now seldom see them. I figure bats and birds acquired a taste for them.
