Would appreciate any tips,ideas,etc on how to remove old caulk from around tub/toilet/pedestal sink in bathroom.

I use razor blades, avail. at any hardware store. You can also mount them into a flat (not angled) style window/paint scraper tool for ease of use. You can start the job by running a sharp utility knife vertically, then horizontally as possible, around the pedestal/toilet/tub, then to the cleanup with the smaller razor blades.
