Thought I'd bring up something on topic with a recent septic observation.
New neighbor has to upgrade septic and county noted that space for it is very close to the well head of his neighbor in back.
He is having a tank installed past the settlement tanks where grey water field will be that contains large pillows of filter elements. He said these will remove 95% of the bad stuff in the grey water and be aquifer friendly.
Seems to me, and maybe others here know, that these filter elements will have to be periodically replaced and I wonder how often and at what cost.
