i got talked into working on a few refrigerator the last few days and come across two Roper refrigerator that had leaking evaperator coils on them. they were manufactored about the same time about a little less than a year ago. Model # RT18BKXKQ00 Serial Number VSP1449808 DOM 03/03 The other one was about the same date and model number.
The Electric defrost heater element was touching the evaperator coil and was heating the Al. coil up as it was defrosting and created a pin hole right where the electric heating element was touching the evaperator coil. When i say pin hole I mean it will run out of freon in a day or two. It was on the lower right hand side of the evaperator coil. So you may be seeing the model described here showing up with a evaperator coil leak.
