I need to replace a roof,some people advise not stapling the roof but using nails.Do you have a choice in today's market in telling the contractor?Or is stapling just as good as nailing?

Stapling is not allowed in some high wind storm prone areas. With the availability of pneumatic nailers, there is no reason to staple. There are some people that still insist on hand nailing also as it is supposed to be better. .

Nailing is preferred and offers a more secure roof.
