Repairing damaged imitation wood-grain surface

Pulled an adhesive size label off a new shirt and put it on the dresser (imitation wood-grain finish on MDF) sticky side down. Other stuff got put on top of it. Picked up label and a couple of spots of the finish came with it.

Any idea if it's possible to reattach the oh-so-thin film if I can detach it from the label without damaging it too much? What would you use?

Not likely doable.

What would you use?

Matching touch-up marker for furniture, available at most big-box stores.

BTW - get used to the 'finish' peeling and scratching - even from high humidity!
