We don't get hard-copy statements. But if we did, they'd be in the file folder labeled "Social Security". The booklet goes in the "Medicare" file every year and is replaced when a new one comes.

I work for a MegaCorp. Our IT department sends out "internal phishing emails" as a test. Our Outlook app has a built-in Report button we can use if we think an email is suspicious. When we report a fake phishing email, we get an at-a-boy pop-up
When I get an email from our megacorp ceo I click the button. I do not get an attaboy but it does buy time.

I wasn't going to mention this. Like everyone on Medicare, I assume, I get quarterly (iirc) statements in the mail about what was spent for me.
I don't read them; I usually don't even open them, but they are somewhere in the house. A couple weeks ago I went to a portal for one of the hospitals I've dealt with. I'm in good health but one was a colonoscopy, one was a urinary and a weight-loss procedure (Aspire, nothing radical like stomach stapling or rearranging, just an anti-feeding tube that when removed puts you back the way you were, with a small or maybe a large scar maybe in your chest. (I have a large one, which they did not warn me about.)
Anyhow, Jan of 2019 I went to a major hospital to have this done, and when I woke up, nothing had changed. No tube**. It was 8000 or 9000 dollars, not covered by insurance, but a few weeks later without my complaining yet, they sent back all the money. **She said that when she put the light down my throat into my stomach, to know where to "drill", she couldn't see the light, so she stopped. Two weeks later, I went to a place in Virginia. I'd told him the problem the first doctor had and he brought in his best assistant, but afterwardds he said he had no problem. He charged 11,000. The first place was the cheapest price of about 8 prices that I read about in the whole country. (I went there because it was close, not because of the price. The others were 100 to
2500 miles away.)
So I got all my money back from the first one, and 2 weeks ago I saw on my portal that I had been treated, an endoscopy, that is, for GERD, gastric e reflux disease. I've never had that. I have a little reflux maybe once every 3 years, and I coudln't remember ever having an endoscopy. I was really confused. I couldn't imagine what this was, and finally, I realized it was the tube attempt and they had claimed I had reflux so medicare would pay something.
I went to MyMedicare.com to see what it had to say, but it only goes back 3 years and this was 3.6 years. You can call them to go back farther. I know what it will say, but I don't know how much money the hospital got. Somewhere I have the letter they sent me at the end of that quarter, but I don't know where.
I think I thought they would get something for the cost of undoing what they had started to do. Undoing medical things are often a covered medical expense. But I didn't think that involved lying about what had happened.
What should I do about this?

They don't send them anymore? I remember getting a detailed account of my lifetime earnings and projected benefits before I filed. At 70 I got a letter saying the benefits weren't going to get any better and I should file. I just got one about an adjustment since I'm still working (and paying into the play). They all get filed in the drawer with bank statements, insurance bills, and Christmas cards sent by various begging organizations. When the drawer gets full I take advantage of the bank up the street's free shredding day.

We asked them to do everything electronically. They send us an e-mail when they've got something new for us. Then we go to the website.
I hate paper. I've got a basket full of filing to do; I don't need more.

Let me ask a different question: What would you do? You, Jim, and everyone?
