Product Review 108 LED 7W Bulb E27 Corn Lamp 110V/220V Cool White Lighting Light Energy Saving...

The bulbs arrived, tonight. They are slightly less bright than 11 watt compact fluorescent.

Light has a definite blue hue to it. Two bulbs will light my bathroom comfortably enough for me to function. With white diffusers over the bulbs. Still ends up being blue light, to no surprise.

The same two bulbs in a ceiling fixture with no diffuser, lights my office enough so I can read, or pay bills, or write checks.

Just a wing and guess, about the same as a 60 watt filament bulb. But definitely blue color.

Yes, they are still for sale, at the Ebay page.

Oh, the mental images. Corn lamps, tied up, powered, and no where to go. Just practically having siezures with excitement, and the humilitation. Makes me want to go turn my lights on, in the office where I have the corn lamps.

I can just imagine the application of these CORN lamps in some of the alt.binaries.... groups. Veggies are humiliated there.

I'd be interested to know as well... those are inexpensive enough to try, although honestly I suspect that I would have the same problem with them that I have with many CFLs... not bright enough. But something with better SMD LEDs will probably be prohibitively expensive for another couple years.

I'm not sure about dimming. I did decide I don't like the blue light. I took one of the blue ones out, and put a CF back in. Going from 7 watt bulb to 11 isn't going to hurt me.

Now, trying the other LED bulb in another location.

Does anybody really prefer blue light from CFL and LED bulbs in their homes? I'm not talking about the bulbs that try to mimic incandescent, but the ones marked "cool white" or similar.
