P-trap install issue

Jun 20, 2006 1 Replies

I'm installing the drain pipes under the new kitchen sink. I use all ABS black pipes with an adjustable P-trap. Is that ok if the outgoing part of the p-trap is perpendicular (right angle) to U? I'm afraid that could likely cause clog.

Thanks.

Should be OK. There is a limit to the total amount of bends you can have by code but I don't know what it is.
