Outside angle for crown

Jan 27, 2005 3 Replies

Outside corner for crown molding. Inside corners are being coped. What is the angle and set up on a DeWalt 705 miter saw for cutting outside corners on 45 degree crown? Thanks. Perry

I don't have a clue. The DW manual has that info though. If you don't have it, check their web age as they have it there IIRC.

  1. Set the crown at the angle it is mounted, then the angle is vertical. Use a filler backing against the fence if it's large.

If you are talking the compound angles: (45 crown)

35.3 - miter 30 - bevel

If you are talking just a straight miter box than cut it upside-down at 45
