I understand if lithium batteries were to freeze it ruins them and EV's are designed to use the battery to keep them warm. Nay be not used on these devices making them unsuitable for freezing weather.

When it comes to reviews I always read the bad ones.

The freezing point of lithium batteries is very different to, say, water. It's suggested that temperatures below 4F/-20C can cause problems:

Mine are WIFI but powered by a wire leading inside to an outlet. The WIFI is problematic, which is why I warned on it.

I put a ring doorbell in just like yours. I also have a ZoZi 4 camera setup that is the one problematic element. It doesn't record but it loses signal all the time. Still a nice deterrent though as 'they' don't know that.

Don't waste your money on a system with crappy vider. Worse than useless - because not only can't you see who robbed you, but you also got robbed whenyou bought it. - at ANY price

I don't normally expect that a product link, posted here, is meant for people to actually _buy_ from that supplier - - but rather an _info_ link to look into that product's features and then shop around for it or something similar from the best supplier. Maybe that's just me. John T.

It would be interesting to see the Swann high def. 1080p bullet cam in a nighttime side-by-side comparison with a higher def. doorbell cam. My money is on the bigger camera. In full daylight I suspect both would be fine. Just judging by the night-photo a neighbour posted from his doorbell cam .. very poor quality. John T.

One interesting effect is that some of the kids that come on Halloween may not know how I can answer the door so quickly after (or even before) they ring the bell.
