· Gerald Ford (1974-1977) Ford's first car was a 1924 Ford Coupe with a rumble seat, which he purchased in 1930 for $75. Among his later vehicles were a 1968 Chrysler, 1969 Ford Mustang and 1972 Jeep. While he was president, the Ford Motor Company supplied Ford with a 1972 Lincoln Continental stretch limousine with armour plating and bullet-resistant glass.
