What is the purpose for the resistors on the capacitors in a rotary phase converter? Some are soldered directly to the capacitor contacts and would be connected to the incoming power lines.

What is the purpose for the resistors on the capacitors in a rotary phase converter? Some are soldered directly to the capacitor contacts and would be connected to the incoming power lines.
They are to help balance the voltages between phases .
Bleed off stored charge
Hmmm...I just installed a new one; didn't notice any resistors on the cap's. Have to go inspect... :)
