OT It turns out that McCarthy was wrong when he said, approximately, there was no such things as baby carrots. That they are regular carrots cut to look smaller.
He was wrong for two reasons.
There are baby carrots that are "picked" early, when it's said they are more tender and maybe I read more tasty.
There are also full size carrots that are cut down like he says but they are mislabled if they are labeled baby carrots. They are supposed to be called baby-cut carrots. I think I read 3/4 of them are mislabeled and sold as baby carrots, and knowing what I know now about McCarthy, who is far worse than I ever expected, he probably thinks mislabeling is the same as labeling.
It is to be hoped that he's just misinformed. We'll probably never know.
