There are a couple of links that will help you.

takes you to the Ontario Electrical Safety Authority. Click on "Consumer", then go to "FAQ". There is a searchable database of questions, or you can click "Ask a Question" and ask a question of your own. It will take an inspector 2 or 3 days to reply by email.

There are several forums on general electrical, but you can get help on Canadian-specific issues from the forum called, "Electrical Code-Canadian."
