I have a five year old westinghouse fan forced oven which decides to
turn itself on every now and then.I suspect this is blowing my
electricity bill out of proportion. is this a thermostat problem. could
i just calibrate the thermostat or do i need to buy a new one....

I am a bit confused about which part is the thermostat and which part is
the on/off/temp ontrol switch. I thought i had a problem with the on/off
switch however when i opened the front panel up, the metal tube bit that
extends into the oven (I am assuming that this is the thermostat ?
right? )comes and connects with the on/off/temperature control switch.
does this mean that i have to change the whole on/off/temp control
