Natural Pest Solutions Product - Carpenter Ants

Has anyone tried the Ant Solution natural pest product sold by Natural Pest Solutions for Carpenter Ants?

I'm considering trying this product, but I have not seen or heard of the effectiveness of using this for this type of pest.

Check with your local ag extension office. They will know what works.

DDT works swell for carpenter ants.

Carpenter ants are relatively benign - they don't EAT the wood, they just tunnel through it. If they can make a big enough nest before structural failure sets in, you're both okay.

In article , snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net says... :) Has anyone tried the Ant Solution natural pest product sold by Natural Pest :) Solutions for Carpenter Ants? :) Was not able to find what their active ingredients was to determine how it might work. Are you looking to remove a known colony of ants now or trying to reduce numbers in your area so they don't invade the house?

In article , snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net says... :) Remove. :) :) You can find these at either at a do-it-yourself type pest control store, a pest control supply house or purchase these over the web. I have tried the Advance Carpenter Ant Bait on nests that I had no idea where they were set up at and the activity came to a stop within a few weeks on all cases by just sprinkling the granules about the perimeter, some took two applications, but I now keep it on the truck to use when needed. Another product that I haven't used but hear from other exterminators that they have super results with is the Maxforce Carpenter Ant Gel.

The best means of getting rid of insect pests is to remove their home and food supply. Works wonders! If you have carpenter ants inside a dwelling, find out how they get in and close up the entry. Clean things up to eliminate food attractants. If the nest is inside a dwelling, then you most likely have damaged wood that they are living in. If there are large nests close to a dwelling, then there may be a tree or other plants with rotted cavities and ants living in them. Keep trees/shrubs clear of the building (helps keep out rats here in Florida). When we cleaned up our condos grounds and wood structural components, the ants went elsewhere.

contact the company ask for their MSDS sheet it will list active ingredients and all other sort of stuff. Required by law if you are a business of any kind where an employee would be applying the product.

You can use MSDS sheets to compare products too just read carefully becasue they can make almost any product seem deadly!
