It is currently February 2023 (HELLO FROM THE FUTURE!) - I took the battery out of a Thermpro Meat Thermometer on your suggestion, and that maybe did the trick!

I also found a small cat toy that was emanating noise, and maybe that was it as well?

I had a similar issue randomly start last night, I remember my cat bringing their little noise making toy in to the living room, I picked it up and it was definitely making some sort of noise - tossed that away and *fingers crossed* that was it!

A *battery-powered* meat themometer! You're lucky it didn't catch fire. What happened to the ones that needed no battery?
