Mower blades will not disengage

The blades run continuously, on my LT 1000. Is there an adjustment for the cable?

You lost me. What cable? There are 2 spindles and 2 idler pulleys on the deck. I suspect that one of the idler pulleys is jammed. Probably some twigs

Or could be like mine was and was rusted from setting outside all the time without a cover.
