I think your idea about an alternate route is a good one. Currently the drain goes from bathroom in middle of house under foyer and office. It could go just straight out under the garage slab instead if we put in a new line. I'm not sure what would be better if the repair was just one hole. I should have a diagnosis in a few hours.
