One of the posts yesterday, I posted a dictionary definition of totalitarian. One of the readers accused me of being totaltarian, or rather that a privately funded Army would be T. One of the aspects of T. is that it rejects or attempts to supress opposition points of view. The slams on Faux news, well, that fits nicely into the T. definition. For those who have eyes to see.

Nobody said FAUX news was totalitarian. And I didn't say you would end up with totalitarian government. With no government you have ANARCHY which is a different situation. Under anarchy there is no security, no rights, no "rule of law". The drug cartels of south/central America are but one example - and "totalitarian" hardly fits.

I haven't seen evidence that the unemployment numbers are being deliberately manipulated by the Obama administration. AFAIK, they are still being counted the same way. It's just that for the first time in a very long time, a big component of the decrease in unemployment has been discouraged workers giving up looking for a job and leaving the labor force, as opposed to actually finding a job. That is reflected in the labor participation rate which is at a shocking 40 year low. People give up looking, leave the labor force, and the unemployment rate goes down.
Perhaps you can explain how "profit motive" correlates with "dictator". Exactly the opposite is true. Freedom and free, profit driven economies go hand in hand.

Where I live (Douglas County, Nevada), our county has lost over
20% of our employment (source was Manta). Some people have moved. Most have stayed. They actual rate of unemployment here is around 18%.When I pass out card begging for work, I would say at least four out of five business building are empty. They rest are scared to death to spend any money. Every empty building is a family out of work, not to mention their employees.
I am sick death of those liar at the white house and worse with those in American Pravda who are suppose to protect us all against such liars in government.

Actually, totalitarian fits the situation in Mexico a lot more than anarchy. Mexico has a strong, corrupt govt that pretty much does as it pleases. And what pleases it is getting paid off and being in cahoots with the drug cartels. The govt is enforcing laws and controlling the country, it's just that it's exempting most of the drug cartels. If you rob a bank or beat up someone at a bar, you get arrested, prosecuted, so that kind of crime, which you would get away with if there was anarchy, is controlled. The drug cartels in turn are obviously a totaliarian organization, that brutally enforces their own set of rules and operating procedures.
I have always considered myself a small c conservative.. I have lived and worked in a country where the government was a lot more intrusive than any government the USA has ever had. "Single party democracy".
You have no idea what I believe - but like a typical American you see everything as black or white, left or right ...
I pretty much base my thoughts about you on what you say.
