Here's an HVAC idiot that can tell you fusable heat links are very common and in every commercial building you walk into. They are necessary for any duct connection that penetraits a firewall. They come in a range of tempertaure breakage points. Meanwhile, this stupid HVAC guy who designs this crap (air distribution systems) for a living will crawl back under my rock where us unedumacated liv.
"NewsFlash" A HVAC guy did not design fuseable links for air distribution systems. That would be your lovely goverment that did that. More regulations put in place to make you "safe".
