I want to brick my house, but how?

May 30, 2004 4 Replies

I want to put brick on my house and cover the ugly old siding. However, I am a perfectionist, and I want the brick to EXACTLY meet the edge of the roof without any partial bricks or with a gap. Therefore, I want to start the brick from the top and work down to the ground, rather than starting on the ground. I figure I can always fill in the bottom with a little extra dirt to raise the lawn if needed.

How do I lay brick from the top of the house down. Should I stack

2x4's all the way from the ground to the roof, and remove one each time I place another layer of brick? Or is there a special tool made for this purpose?

Send me your help.

Even an Ahole like you should know the best way is to flip the house over, do the bricking then flip it back. I'm sure I've gone over this before... Just google Arty the Ahole and you should find all you need to know. Have a happy holiday.
