Over the years, it seems, much of the siding on the always-shady side of the house has accumulated a covering of mold.
It's really stuck hard.
Wife wants it off; what suggestions?

Rent pressure cleaner. Are trees overhanging? i.e. damp area? When clean it may 'look' a slightly different colour to other walls of house? So do the whole side.
try a product called "Spray_9" works wonders..........

Trees not the cause here; is east wall of house, never sees sun.
Pressure cleaner: how many psi? gasoline or electric?

Beware power washing painted siding, which your old aluminum siding probably is. With anything less than perfect control, it will leave marks on the oxidized surface
