How can they stop making janitrol it is the same as goodman, they may have just stopped making the stickers that say Janitrol.

This is Turtle.

There was no such name as Janitrol ever put on a manufactoring tag or serial number with Janitrol on it. All Manufactoring Tags of GMC / Janitrol / Hamilton / Goodman / 3 other names i can't remember all had a Goodman manufactoring tag with Goodman on it and no other name on it. The only difference to tell the difference between the 5 or 6 brands was the plastic sticker on the side of it or on top of it. All warranty parts was looked up with a Goodman number of the part on the unit. Now Janitrol was nothing but a corperate name and a plastic sticker but everything else was Goodman.

Now there is a difference right now between a Amana and a Goodman for they have not had time to get together and get the model and serial numbers to match together. You will have to wait and see.
