Gas fireplace logs

Dec 18, 2019 1 Replies

I have a wood-burning fireplace that is also equipped with natural gas. I want to purchase a set of ceramic logs to put in the grate and not worry about wood again.

I can see a lot of ceramic log sets on-line. Are they all the same ? just pick a set of logs that looks cosmetic and will fill out the grate ? /or is there more to it than that ?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

A closed chimney requires the logs not actually touch the flame which produces CO with yellow flames then need to open vent. I guess if the flame is adjusted to yellow it will also need vents. If you vent I guess you do what you want.
