I'm not the only one who thinks dark raisins are usually clumped. My friend said the same thing, and on Quora I found: "How do I get raisins that aren't all in sticky clumps? All the raisins are sticky and I hate this." Several answers said to freeze them. I said to try golden raisins.
Almost by chance last week I bought a box of golden raisins and they weren't clumped. Neither was the next box. I hope this is the norm.
They mixed well with Grape-Nuts, but ironically, the Grape-Nuts were harder than I remember them. Too hard. Maybe the next batch will be better. They also mixed well with Life, which despite the colorful box seems to be nothing but grain.
