covering cinder blocks

Apr 22, 2004 2 Replies

How can a cinder block wall be covered up on the interior in a simple fashion - some kind of plaster or covering? Assuming low skills, can the unevenness of cinderblocks be dealt with somehow short of installing wallboard?

BTW, this wall is never cold, only too hot. So no condensation issues, but insulation could be a plus. Heard of some kind of plaster mixed with styrofoam particles being used for exteriors in Arizona adobe houses - may be a help if I could track some down. tks

Assuming low skills,

This would virtually eliminate plaster.

Look at USG Structolite - it uses perlite as aggregate.

Tapestries. Hang curtains over it.
