Although I do believe there is some manmade global warming, most of what happened in terms of extreme weather in recent years and decades looks to me like stuff that weather has always done. Weather normally gets wacky at times. For example, tropical storm Agnes of 1971 did something wierd, and so did hurricane Hazel of 1954. New England's worst hurricane was in 1938. The most intense extratropical cyclone (by barometric pressure) known to have existed with its center on USA soil had its center in Ohio on January

25, 1978. In many locations, the Blizzard of March 1888 has yet to be exceeded in terms of either snowfall or very protracted very strong inland wind.

Can you cite who is saying "the biggest storm on record", and by what measure, and the storm holding the previous record?

Actually, AIDS was already a relatively serious problem in southern and central Africa in the mid 1970s. It was known as "slim" in Zambia and Rhodesia when I was there in 1973-1975

Not true. Exhalation of CO2 is independent of inhalation of O2. If your lungs are pulling gas in and out, whether they can get rid of the CO2 depends only on the outside CO2 concentration.

Is that the science of napped leather? And if it's fake science about leather, then is it pseudo-psuedo-science?

OK, thanks. I think I should be able to adapt in a week or so.
