Maybe it is just that the movies suck. I just suffered through the shape of water and that was a waste of $30. Creature of the black lagoon remade as soft core p*rn.
Last movie we went to was Aladdin with the grandkids. Probably 20+ years ago. If all the studios closed today I'd never notice.
Last one for me was about three months ago. Reserved seating. Recliners. Nothing special except for those features. It was more comfortable but not that big a deal. I don't remember the cost.
I believe the local one is $11 for the basic ticket, much more for the McDonald's burger brought to your recliner. I wonder if they'll feature fried chicken and watermelon for the Wakanda showing.
