Any Honeywell, but the mid- to upper priced ones are more convenient and have most useful features. Archives in this NG are most favorable to Honeywells, so it seems logical that they have quality on their side. HTH

What do you want it to control?

Really...just your furnace and AC? A humidifier and EAC? Best bang for the buck on lower end, Robertshaw. Best bang all around for the money spent, Honeywell Chronotherms.
