Bed bugs

I found 2 bed bugs in my sheets. And a small nest in the side of the mattress.

Looking for DIY methods of killing the fuc***s.

Thanks,

Andy

We use food grade DE quite extensively around our property and home. It is a safe and effective barrier against ants, it kills fleas in the carpet and we also mix a level teaspoon in a glass of water every couple of months and drink it as it will kill intestinal parasites. I keep the cat's food bowls in the garage and every couple of months I sprinkle some DE on the floor under the bowls and we never get ants.

Our neighbors use it in the feed for their livestock (goats, llamas, etc).

When we use it in the house, we sprinkle it with a wire strainer, there is no cloud of dust. When we broom it into the little bit of carpet that we have, I wear a cheap paper mask, but never see any airborne particles.

As with any fine particulate, if you inhale clouds of it, you might end up with a problem, however, it takes a lot of effort to create a dust cloud of DE.

DE is a fantastic product with lots of uses. We have never had bed bugs, but, if we did, DE would be my go to product. Certainly far safer than any kind of chemical pesticide.

These people sell everything for pests, home and garden:

You can check, but I think some exterminators heat the room to a hellish temperature to kill bed bugs since stuff that worked in the past like DDT were banned.

I know nothing about the domyown people but did get some crabgrass premerg from them and they ship for free.

Get some of the spray at Dollar General. For bedbugs and ticks. Inexpensive.

Hot water wash and most driers will kill. Extended 115 degrees or higher.

115 takes longer. Over 120 will kill quick.
