Bath CHromeware leaks

I know plenty of folks who didn't use their upstairs bath due to leaks then realised the leak was via the chromeware (faucets, valves). Other than conventional caulk, are there fasket kits for this? What are the search buzzwords?

Buy a book on plumbing. Read it. Go to a box store, Look at all the stuff on the shelves. Find stuff that fits your faucets. Take it homer and install it. Use the book for directions. Keep the phone number of a plumber handy.
